Travellers to and from Heathrow next weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 15/16/17/18 April) should be warned of restricted Underground services.  Terminal 4 is still not open.

The Piccadilly line will be closed between Acton Town and Heathrow, enabling engineers to install new track and drainage as part of the line upgrade.  Replacement buses will operate.

This also means that the T5 connection to and from the Central Area is limited to every 15min courtesy the Heathrow Express service.

Do allow plenty of time if joining a flight.  It is likely to be the busiest weekend since the pre-Christmas rush at the end of 2019.  Meeters and greeters are not encouraged.

Other than bus services there are two alternative ways of tackling Heathrow by public Transport.  Heathrow Express from Paddington, well signposted within the station, or TfL Rail on the less easy to find platforms 11 & 12, close by the Hammersmith & City line.  Tfl Rail stops at various Underground stations in West London including Ealing Broadway for both the Central and District lines.  Standard Underground prices apply.
