Some domestic flights have resumed at Afghanistan's international airport in Kabul with the state-run Ariana Afghan Airline (FB) operating flights to three provinces.

Shershah Stor, the airline's Station Manager at the airport, told Associated Press on Sunday that the flights took place Saturday to western Herat, southern Kandahar and northern Balkh provinces. The airline’s web site is working “Let us invite you to fly with us to visit the new Afghanistan.”

Earlier, Qatar's Ambassador to Afghanistan said that a technical team was able to reopen Kabul Airport to receive aid, according to Qatar's Al Jazeera news channel.  The airport's runway has been repaired in cooperation with authorities in Afghanistan, the Ambassador said, in a further small step towards a return to relative normality after the turmoil of the past three weeks.

Whilst the airport is likely to be renamed (previously Hamid Karzai International Airport) under IATA and ICAO rules the designated codes will remain KBL and OAKB.
