The Government of Jersey has announced further updates to the island’s Safer Travel Policy, providing greater access to the island for more visitors who have been fully NHS vaccinated, effective tomorrow (Tuesday 13 July).

The new updated rules will now allow visitors an escape from the UK with the island welcoming more visitors through its hassle-free updated policy.

Jersey will now allow fully vaccinated arrivals to travel to the island without requiring isolation, as well as no quarantine regulations in place when returning home. Those not fully vaccinated will only be required to take a courtesy PCR test on arrival, with minimal isolation until receiving a negative test result.

Where it differs from the English requirements is that countries and regions will no longer be assessed based on a green, amber or red traffic light system.

Testing and isolation requirements will be based on passenger vaccination status.

Passengers who are not fully vaccinated arriving in Jersey will be required to be tested upon arrival and on day eight, and will need to isolate until their first negative test result.  This applies to children aged 11-17 who will be required to be tested upon arrival) and on day eight, and will need to isolate until their first negative test result, but this is normally done at the airport.  Children aged 10 and under will not be required to complete a pre-departure registration form, undergo testing on arrival or be required to isolate.

All passengers travelling to Jersey aged 11 years and over will still be required to complete a pre-departure registration form 48 hours before travelling.
