The June edition of Travel News Update by Aspire has now been published.

The two-page newsletter is aimed at travellers using the Club Aspire lounges.  In the United Kingdom the Gatwick North and Heathrow Terminal 5 operations have reopened and readers can join the Aspire mailing list as others follow suit.  In total there are 20 lounges in the British Isles whilst on the Continent the Amsterdam, Helsinki, Larnaca, Sofia and Zurich lounges are open.

Around the world the San Diego Airspace Lounge, California, welcomes visitors from 05:00, and in Kenya the Jomo Kenyatta Airport Aspire Lounge is available at limited times to suit flights.

Club Aspire points out that staff will be wearing masks and gloves and all employees are screened daily for fever and Covid-19 symptoms.  Hand sanitisers are available for use throughout the lounge whilst dining, food and beverages are now served in eco-friendly containers and packaging with table service.  All printing, wi-fi and business facilities are available.

Sadly no publications are available due to the pandemic but the lounge offers a courtesy PressReader, providing access to over 7,000 publications from over 120 countries in 60+ languages. It can be viewed on your device as an app.

TNU is available on a computer interface, laptop, pad and smart phone and normally as a printed version at the Aspire reception in their airport lounges.

Aspire is owned by Swissport, one of the world’s largest aviation service providers. normally supporting 265m passengers at 300 airports in 47 countries for 850 aviation related customers.   Revenue in 2019 totalled €3bn.
