Driving to Cornwall this summer?  What about stopping at Bridgwater to view and try out the latest Ibis global concept.

Hospitality group Accor has opened a new ibis hotel in Bridgwater in the South West of England, initially open for restricted use in line with government legislation, ahead of a full opening in May.

The property is just one minute from Junction 23 of the M25, 40 miles from the Bristol motorway interchange, 140 miles from Heathrow and 150 miles from Penzance.

The property features a new contemporary and urban interior design concept called Plaza, creating flexible social and working hubs providing living spaces for people to meet, work and relax. The hotel is also the first ibis in the UK to feature a Keepers Kitchen and Bar. The hotel has a mix of 144 double, twin and interconnecting rooms with Smart TVs and free wi-fi.

Halfway between the Weston Super Mare and Taunton Bridgwater is itself a historic market town lying on both sides of the River Parrett.  Amongst the many nearby places worth visiting are the Quantock Hills and on the coast the Bridgwater Bay Nature Reserve.
