It may not be well known in the United Kingdom but AnadoluJet, founded in 2008, is a low-cost subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, operating 41 Boeing 737-800s in a 180-seat configuration.  

The airline has announced a summer season from Birmingham Airport to the popular leisure destinations of Antalya and Dalaman.  

Commenting on the news, Tom Screen, Birmingham Airport’s aviation director, said: “As we prepare to welcome customers back flying again, we are extremely pleased that AnadoluJet will be offering new services to Antalya and Dalaman from 19 July 2021. Working with its parent company, Turkish Airlines, over many years of flying to Istanbul from Birmingham, I know that customers will receive outstanding service, affordability and reliability with AnadoluJet.”  

In more good news for the airport easyJet has announced five new European beach destinations. Alicante, Corfu, Faro, Málaga and Palma-Majorca.
