Marriott International has announced the opening of The St Regis Cairo, seen as a forward moving confidence setter in these difficult times.

Located on the iconic banks of the River Nile, the 39-storey property is all you would expect of one of the world’s most luxurious labels.  All guests staying at the hotel can also enjoy the brand’s signature St Regis Butler service which is world-renowned for its anticipatory service and personal attention, but due to the pandemic some of the facilities are not open.

“Egypt has historically been one of our key markets and strategically significant to our growth in the region,” said Satya Anand, President for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International. “Cairo is a storied destination that has long mesmerised the global traveller with its incredible energy offering a vibrant mix of history, culture, tradition and glamour. The St Regis Cairo is an exciting addition to our fast-growing brand portfolio and is set to elevate Cairo’s luxury hospitality landscape with its remarkable design, uncompromising service, and exceptional culinary venues.”

The St Regis Cairo will have a diversified selection of eight restaurants, bars and lounges for guests to enjoy – offering everything from authentic Southern Italian cuisine with bright views of the Nile at La Zisa and exquisite Singaporean flavours at Tianma to a sophisticated collection of steakhouse favourites at J&G Steakhouse and Mediterranean and Egyptian dishes at Sirocco.

Those looking for a space to relax in can visit the 1,000sq metre Iridium Spa and indulge and enjoy the unique facilities such as sauna, steam, ice room, shock shower and swimming pools. The hotel is also home to The Astor Ballroom featuring a curved, grand staircase surrounding a striking Swarovski chandelier – perfect for weddings and celebrations – as well as a Grand Ballroom which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests and 10 flexible meeting venues.
