A dedicated Boeing 737 customer since its very early days Ryanair has upped substantially its MAX order which Seattle now calls “The Gamechanger”.

Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline, has signed a purchase agreement with Boeing for 75 new MAX-8200 aircraft, which increases its firm order from 135 to 210, with a total value of over $22bn. It expects to take the first delivery in early 2021, and has confirmed 210 firm orders with Boeing for the aircraft, which will be delivered over a four-year period between spring 2021 and December 2024.

The 197-seat Boeing 737 MAX-8200 aircraft is the most audited, most regulated in aviation history they say. The performance appears to be very good with eight more seats per flight than the aircraft it displaces, burns 16% less fuel, and lowers noise emissions by 40%.
