Please self-update on the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel guidance for cruise ships shown below.

The doyen of the British cruising industry Edwina Lonsdale, Munday Travel, has chosen Business Travel News for a fine ON THE SOAPBOX to explain where the CLIA (Britain’s cruise trade organisation) stands with regard to moving forward.

“Book with confidence, the cruise lines will not resume service until they are ready to do so safely.” she says.

Readers will be aware of the failure of CMV which we reported in last week’s BTN but on a positive note the Swan Hellenic brand has been purchased.  The new owners tell BTN that two new-builds are under way with a planned service date of November 2021.

ON TOUR is the Saga saga.  We have held back on this one but it now seems the right time to publish.

Business Travel News lists every cruise line on sale for UK passengers

We have combined the sea and river listings into one easy to spot file.  Please pass this on to others.  The plan is to update from time to time and in the interest of current information have left in CMV and added Swan Hellenic.  We would be pleased to add any new actual operators and of course change/modify the web sites.
